Pact Bins: Recycle beauty packaging waste

From the Pact website:

Pact is a nonprofit collective uniting the beauty industry to reduce beauty packaging waste and work collaboratively toward more circular solutions for the industry.

Pact Collective is a nonprofit working to tackle the beauty industryโ€™s hard-to-recycle packaging problem. By uniting brands, educating designers, and offering collection and mail-back programs for items too small or complex for traditional recycling, Pact helps โ€œclose the loopโ€ on billions of cosmetic containers that would otherwise end up in the trash. Their industry-wide, collaborative approach promotes more sustainable packaging design and gives consumers a responsible way to dispose of their beauty empties.

To drop off empty packages:

When youโ€™ve finished your favorite products, dump any unused goop then rinse and clean the packages. Make sure theyโ€™re truly clean and empty โ€” packages with product left inside get incinerated because they canโ€™t be properly recycled!

and use the Packaging Drop-Off Guide for a step-by-step to get your empties to Pact. Examples of items they take:
